Rental Program

This site  The Web

Our rental plan is designed to provide time to establish whether musical aptitude and interest exist, while allowing a majority of monies paid in the first year to apply toward the purchase of the rented instrument, or one of equal or greater value:

  • Our rental form can be conveniently completed on line, with delivery to school available for returning customers.
  • Minimum rental period is ONE month. Fees are collected monthly in advance of the rental period with several convenient ways for payment to be made.
  • Autopay from debit/credit or checking accounts require NO additional security deposit.

  • If one chooses to pay in cash or be billed monthly, then we require a credit card on file or a minimum cash deposit of $50 or 10% of the value of the instrument, whichever is greater.  Also the rental rates on these contracts will have a $2.00 charge added due to the increasing cost of mailing monthly statements.
  • No interest charges are added to our rent only contract.
  • All instruments are professionally adjusted and serviced on site between rentals.

  • All taxes and maintenance fees are included in the rentals rates. NO ADDITIONAL FEES ARE ADDED TO THE CONTRACT, except for $2.00 for billed customers.

  • We can help you secure an ALL-RISK insurance policy available through Music Agency, (www.musicagencyinc.com) to protect your rented instrument.  This very affordable insurance is approved by the State of Washington Insurance Commission.

There is no additional cost for normal maintenance. Normal repair time is usually less than 3 days, except during the summer.  If the instrument is damaged or neglected, but repairable, the renter only pays 50% of the repair cost. If the instrument is totally destroyed, lost, or stolen, the customer must buy the instrument outright, but will receive rental credit plus the applicable purchase discount.

  • Customer has the option to return the instrument at any time.
  • At any time, if the contract is current, the renter may switch to a different instrument of equal or greater value without losing any rental credit.  If a switch is made to an instrument of lower value, rental credit is prorated accordingly.
  • Rental contracts may be purchased outright, at any time. Purchase discounts are available.
  • Rental customers qualify for special offers and discounts during the year.
  • We rent to school districts located in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan Counties.

All of our rentals are student model instruments that are set up to MENC standards (http://www.menc.org/). Our rates are determined by the age of the instrument. (The longer it has been in the rental fleet, the less expensive it becomes.) Tax and maintenance are included in rental rate.
